Thursday, April 17, 1941 [Headlines:St.Louis Globe; World news] Clear/Rain Elise went to Barnes Hospital at 8 this morning for her check up by Dr. Kountz. He told her he would write her the results. He said Elise could 'spill over" a little on diet when out but to keep her weigh down to where it is now. He said if Elise came home after Bill's grad- uation to let him know, Otherwise she might wait till September before seeing him again. In monring George Mackay and I went to the St Louis Zoo and thru the City Art Museum. We started home at quarter of twelve after picking up Paula. Ran into a terrific rain, so it was a rather hard trip home. Reached home at 630 [Headlines: Moline Daily Dispatch;World news]
