Public Deposited180 SUNDAY 90° June 29 Clear/Cloudy/Rain We (Elise, Elise Jr * I) left home at quarter of seven in the new buick and drove to Oak Park 183 miles via Princeton, Mendota & Aurora and St. Charles First 126 miles in 3 hrs. About 43/4 hrs for the trip to Oak Park - Then we took the elevated into Chicago and stayed at the Stevens. We went to the Shedd Aquarium, the Planetarium where we waited an hour to get in. It was a very interesting thing. A great dome representing the heavens and the Chicago skyline encircling the base. All the stars and planets are shown as they appear and their actions can be speeded up. And also the position for any date and any latitude can be shown. It is a fine thing. Then later we drove south over the new outer drive to Jackson Park. Dinner at [ Henrico's ?] In afternoon evening saw fire works at Soldiers field from roof of Stevens Hotel.
