Wednesday, January 29, 1913 Found that the axle box hanger side brace was coming with holes too high, so that holes in side board did not match. Stopped beaters until the brace was shortened. Changed every beater in the establishment. Put Tom Courtney in as chief inspector, with headquarters in the spreader erecting room. Hope that this new arrangement will work out well, if it does it will take a load off my mind. We are building so many spreaders that a slight mistake is multiplied very fast. Mrs Bob Lea telephoned that she was up against it for a bridge party and asked if I would help her out. I took Elise Koehler. Elise won a prize. 83 Beaters Bed 12.30
