348 FRIDAY December 14 Clear We left Memphis at 730 this morning and drove 488 miles to New Orleans, largely over gravel roads that were poor and dusty a hard trip, reaching New Orleans at 10 P.M. Stopped way at Sewall's in Coahoma, and at Clarksdale & Greenwood to see the Wade Hardware 6 Our lister beams bend outwards. They have not tried beated treaded ones yet. The country is rather desolate & forlorn looking an everything run down altho the south is prosperous.
