Public DepositedWednesday, March 27, 1940 Went to Evarts shop withhim at 126S. 14th St. Newark. Evarts has David a secretary, a draftsman and one machinist. He has quite a complete plant. Went to New York then Holland Tube. I spent and interesting hour in the Museum at Rockefeller Center. Saw John Deere Model Plow. Reached New Haven at 150 Elise Lee & Bill arrived at 230. Bill & I went over Davenport College and took some pictures. Went in Library. At 5 after the tour Elises went over Bills room went [?] to the tea at the Hogues. Bill & Mr Hoguesplayed for 1/2 an hour 4 hand Mozart. We had [Insignia: Hotel Taft] [Signatures: Elizabeth Simonds (Lizzy) Tel New Haven 8-1661 Roger Simonds Rosilind Simonds Bruce Smith] for dinner at the Taft and then came out to the Simonds 15 Deepwood Drive Hamden. Mr & Mrs Simonds gave us a wonderful rehearsal of the 2 piano concert they are about to give. I think I enjoyed this as much as [Photographs: Bill and ?] any piano playing I ever listened to.
