One parasite is about 74% "10 foreign species brought in . 5 are now established & may be 30% efffective. Woodpeckers are 95% effective in some areas. Clean cultural methods are effective. Since 1922 due to enforced clean up legislation the borer has decreased to 1/16 there. Planting late in Ohioie June 10 decreases infestation.
