[Rocket] Thursday, April 18, 1940 Went to Chicago on the early Rocket this morning coming home on the 155 P.M. At F.E.I. meeting. It was decided to have the Safety Committee and Advisory Engineering Committee of F.E.I. work out a Standard for position of Power Take off shaft on tractors. Also speeds of power shaft Belt Pulley etc. I suggested the idea and it was put thru. Also a meeting of safety committee was held at lunch. 10 present. I report on the Dooley safety device and gave reports from Deere, IHC, M.M. & Case. It was voted to not be interested in this device as it was not thought to constitute real safety. Dinner at Fort Armstrong Hotel with Stones celebrating Helen's & my birthday. Lee made me a wonderful Map of Princeton which pleased me tremendously. Mother sent me a book Elizabeth. Elise gave me a projector for Kodachrome slides. Helen Stone a small wood model of a "Destroyer"
