6 SATURDAY January 6 Cloudy Charlie Wiman said he did not like the plans we submitted for the distribution of the first 14 HX tractors. We wanted to get these tractors into all the various kinds of service they might be called upon, so wanted some in the South and other parts. Blackhawk hike in afternoon. Elise went with me. It was from Camp Luther near Le Claire. About 40 on the trip. It was a delightful walk along Sycamore Creek.
