Tuesday, June 30, 1931 81° - 104° Clear The hottest day so far. Have not worn a coat for two a week. Started to make changes on tractor for new steering device wherein the differential brakes throw out the steer clutch. Elise & Billy telephoned from Chicago this morning. They leave Chicago at 825 this morning and pick up the special car for camp at Cleveland. Mr Kane of B&M goes along with the children.
