Public DepositedFriday, August 8, 1941 Clear [Headlines:Boston Herald; Draft] [Drawings: Flowers] I picked 3 quarts of blueberries this morning We hace had blueberries for over 6 weeks. Bill telephoned at 430 saying he has to plant trees till dark tonight so that tomorrow he has all day off and he could come any time after 5 AM. I said I would meet him at 745 at the main gate. He can stay Till Sunday evening. It seems as tho the call Elise and I made on Col. Smith has helped. I picked a pint of blackberries on our place. There are many but scratchy to pick. Bill called again at 7 saying the tree planting detail was postponed so he could not leave till noon. [Headlines: Evening Gazette; World news]
