The main five steps of the data analysis process are Define, Collection, Organizing, Visualizing, and Analysing (DCOVA) of data. 1. Define the data that you want to study to solve a problem or meet an objective: Chapter 1. 2. Collect the data from appropriate sources: Chapter 1. 3. Organize the data collected, by developing tables: Chapter 2. 4. Visualizing the data collected by using plots and tables: Chapter 2. 5. Analysis of the data to conclude and preset those results: Chapters 3 - 9.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all who supported the successful Women’s Impact Network (WIN) grant application, which made the creation of the Student Activity Book for Applied Statistics possible as part of the Open Education Resources (OER) Development project at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). This project would not have been realized without this crucial funding. I would like to acknowledge the support provided by the EMPOwER grant, which made this project possible and aligns with WPI’s broader goal of advancing open educational resources. Thank you to all for your unwavering support, guidance, and dedication to improving educational resources for our students.
