Wednesday, August 18, 1937 Clear/Rain We took apart the power lift that has been operating the past three weeks at the experimental farm and has had 50000 lifts. the parts all looked to be in good condition ad the worm and worm gear showed up in excellent shape. Later went tot he Spreader and Harvester plants to see about the meeting of experimental men Nov 8-9. The Harvester Works have the quick detachable idea worked out well for their line. Went to a dinner at the Goods. Outside at pool. A beautiful evening.3 Huntoons 3 Goods Jim Von Maurs,Caldo Von Maurs, Ben Butterworth, Etta Rosenfields Mrs Stephens, Grace Lane, Charlie Shulers, Joe Dain,Bud Crampton Dave Fishers. Ruh said she went to the Fort Armstrong Hotel for slept 25 hrs 2 days to get some spleep The crowd Fifi is in stays out till 2 or 3 every night. The manager of Fort Armstrong called up parents saying he didn't want the youngsters in the Grille as they were too noisy & danced in shorts. Mary Cozand seems to be the ringleader. McCormick Betty Shalberg, Mary Schrader, [Paeske ?]are the girls.
