Wednesday, January 1, 1913 The New Year started off warm and pleasant. in fact all the fall and winter so far has been warm and springlike. On New Years Eve went to a dance at the Moline Club given by Mrs. C.H. Deere. It was a very elaborate party. I took Elise Koehler with me. Have a very bad cold which does not make me feel up to much. My voice is about gone. Had a very fine cane for Christmas from Percy and Betty and a Vest Pocket Kodak from Jim & Daisy. Bed 7.20
