Public DepositedAlbert Smith performed his Mont Blanc lectures in London at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly. The facade of the theatre was loosely based on a temple at Luxor and featured statues of Isis and Osiris. Throughout the nineteenth century, the Egyptian Hall hosted a variety of exhibitions, panoramas, dioramas, lectures, magicians and similar entertainments.
