Public DepositedFRIDAY SEPT. 2 1949 A gorgeous clear day. Kate and her guest Mrs Adna Black came up to lunch with us at the Bowling Alley. A good swim at the Allens in afternoon at Comet. Betty & Larry Nowell came in evening. They will spend 3 nights with us. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bill's letter continued in between the strings with the most extraordinary results, not at all like you might think. It sounds something like a Balinese Orchestra. I ran into George Hamilton (Art History professor at Yale), and his wife while dining with the Schrades the other night, so had lunch with them and then they came over here afterwards to see my drawings" Bill Supper at the church and dance later at Bagg Hall Watched tennis matches [Clipping: The Road to Ruin; Temperance Poster]
