Tuesday, February 18, 1913 Hired a foreman for the machine shop today - Longwell - from Chicago. He is to start March 3 or 4. Garrod found him. Wrote Leist offering job as foreman of the spreader erecting dept. Loaded 22 cars today. Had Mrs Kohler and Elise for dinner. I went over for them. They left on the 10.18 train for Kansas City, on their way to California to be gone six weeks or so. Bed 10.45
