Wednesday, February 16, 1938 With Ted Johnson, Miles Tuft & Orville [D ?] drove to Waterloo today. Last Fiday Coultas Anderson, Court Jones & Hill were there. It was a meeting of Q.D. Committee. The Tractor works had built up a draw bar of the type of G tractor for both the models A & B tractors and had gotten costs. However it developed at the meetings on Friday and today that the Tractor Wrks are not sure that the draw bar on the G is satisfactory and it costs more than the the Model B drawbar. So committee is agreed not to press this now. The Tractor Co are to style rearend next year and then will try to work out a standard draw bar. The committee is asked to get data on adjustments measurements. Committee still feels draw bar should be alike but it is not wise to try now until more definite news is available as to what is wanted. We saw a styled B tractor. McCormick said blueprints would be sent out next week to all factories so they could see what it would mean to their implements. I suggested that we work this thru Q.D. Committee. It was thought a good idea.
