Image 150 of Theo Brown Diaries, 1938
Public DepositedTuesday, April 19 1938 59 TODAY It is hard to realize how the years are passing by [Note: happy birthday] Dear Dad, [Drawing:Strawberry shortcake] Easter Sunday (Alice will do better) A very happy birthday to you, I am sorry I won't be able to help you celebrate it by eating half a strawberry short cake. Very happy day receiving beautiful letters from the children, mother & Kate. Mother sent me "Hell's Acres". Elise gave me the lantern and screen for my colored pictures. Helen Stone three [can't read] hankercheifs. Mother wrote "You are good to want me to go to Princeton for June and July and I shall love to, and I hope Billy and Lee will be there early in June. Anna likes Princeton and is willing to go but I doubt if she would be willing to work for anyone else and of course Elise would direct the work while she is there. I should think she would want to stay on after graduation, it will be good for her to have the chance and rest at Princeton & for you too, I am ready (glad) to do anything I can and think it may turn out splendidly." Elise, I and the Stones & Fred went to Fairview for dinner and later came to our house.
