Public DepositedMonday, March 24, 1913 A terrible cyclone passed through here about midnight last night. The wind blew 48 miles an hour. It blew the stacks down at French & Hechts factory in Davenport and necessitated their shutting down. In Omaha there was a most awful cyclone that did great havoc. Geo. Mixter sent down 2 tickets for the Bohemian girl. Frank and I went but did not stay long. Two letters from Elise. Their latest plan is to reach Chicago about April 3rd. Sent night letter saying I could meet her in Chicago at any time. Bought a small air rifle to get after the cats which are a pest around the apartment nights. Bed 10.
