Saturday, March 2, 1940 Hike in afternoon near Hampton 23 present. These hikes are delightful and fine exercise. We went up and down hill thru snow. A real work out but fine exercise. Sunday, March 3, 1940 Elise and I did not go to church. We went to Elise's mother's for dinner collecting Peggy andEddie Mueller &Oly.Herbert is home for a few days. Elise finished the rug which has over 100 pairs of old silk stockings in its making.
