WEDNESDAY DEC. 7 1949 Dan Heitshu said he would adopt a side mounted mower to our 202 tractor. We are to furnish 4 attaching holes This will be a great help to us. [Postage : German stamp] Received Dec. 14 Leipzig 11-11-49 My Dear Mrs Brown As you understand German so well I am going to allow my self to write you in German. It is so much easier for me to express everything which is close to my heart. You can't believe how much pleasure I had from your letter that the little cups give you pleasure pleases me especially. Whenever you use them or see them may you always be reminded how happy you and your husband made us through your generous help. We will mever forget taht as along as we live. From Wolframs visit you will hear a lot that we have had to bear; it frequently was not simple, but when one is happy and loving in one's family then the bad world cant do much to you. In spite of everything I hope that some day we will get back to peace and that we can again get together with all of our children. The three little ones often have a great longing to see their older brothers, because they are so much attached to each other. Wolfram wrote very enthoustically about the week end he spent with you and your family. He described everything to me in detail. Now I have a perfect picture how ^beautifully^ you reside and live. That Wolfram met the Altgelts and your daughter and her children was very pleasing to me. He is a dear boy who has until now given us nothing but pleasure.
