Public Deposited353 December 19 WEDNESDAY Cloudy We left Little Rock and drove to West Memphis. Blytheville, Cape Girardeau where we found snow and slippery roads with ice. the Ozarks around St Louis where we found a lot of snow and hard travelling. Left McCormick here to take train to Waterloo. Harold White & I planned to drive home but the travelling was so bad and snow drifting that we were ready to stop when we reached Jacksonville at 815 after driving 570 miles. Had we driven home and if the roads had been clear we could have drove it more easily than the trip we had and it would have been 720 miles. Called Elise on phone.
