Friday, October 30, 1936 Clear Elise and I left Milwaukee at 730 this morning and drove 219 miles home reaching here at 1230. Made 61 miles in 60 minutes from Mt Caroll to East Moline. At shop on gear problem. Hope we have the solution for end thrust we want to cut a gear of the level type but with pitch line to coincide with pitch [Drawing: pitch line] line of spur gear with is to mesh with the one of level type.
