Sunday, February 16, 1941 Snow [Headlines: Chicago Sunday Tribune; World news] Elise and I went to church. Clara Dains Bridgeman gave a very interestin talk on her work in Africa. She was brought up as a girl with Fanny Greene in Japan. She is a fine woman. [Signature: Clara D. Bridgeman (REV. F.B.)] and Mrs Hodgson called on us in afternoon. Olga and Rudy Clausen and Paula and Karl Vollmer came for supper. We were alone for dinner.
