Wednesday, July 23, 1941 very hot 102° Marshalltown Clear [Headlines: DesMoines Register;War news] Drove to Marshalltown Iowa early this morning taking Leonard Neighbor with me. Since we have seen the IHC & AC field haychoppers it seemed only fair to show their men what we have. 50 showed the list our X43 in operation 15 north west of town it was terribly hot. They were much impressed with simplicity of our chopper. It worked well.
