Thursday, September 9, 1937 Clear Hugo and his family left at 9 this morning. The visit seemed very successful. I put up a large shelf in the mouse proof closet. Made a wooden box for lantern slides. I love to work at the bench in the garage with the beautiful view to the west in front of me. Shepherd Knapp and his sister Kate [Vondenubl ?] called in afternoon. In evening Elise & I called on the Clarence Evans.
