TUESDAY MAY 13 1947 It looks as though the telephone strike would be over tomorrow. It has lasted for 5 weeks since April 7th. The telephone union was defeated in trying to force an industry wide bargaining. Finally it was left to thestates. The unions just askes for a $1200 a week raise and here it was settled for $400 a week. The tractor in field again this afternoon.
