Learned today that Henry Ford had objected to the specifications on tractors and that a meeting was held in office of secretary of agriculture at 2 today. I talked with G.W. McCuen in Washington this evening He said he thought that the Secretary of Agriculture was convinced that the Fordson would not fit in the program. Also said bids would be opened today on tractors. Received from Kate & Roger today an iron cherry tree that is most effective and remarkable.
