TUESDAY NOV. 23 1948 We sent a CARE package and also a package of clothing to ILLU FRAU^ DELIUS Lowensteiner Str 51 STUTTGART-ZUFFENHAUSEN GERMANY The name was given us by Ilse Deucker Fred Klannwants to write a story about my diary - Thought of the idea today of having a tractor jointed by a pivot between the front and rear wheels so that it would be possible to turn a square corner with tractor running forwards. When the front wheels have been turned a pre- determined amount then the center joint (controlled by an hydraulic cylinder) would turn and allow a square turn. When front wheels have been straightened slightly the center joint will lock. [Drawing: pivot, hydraulic cylinder]
