Wednesday, April 29, 1931 Clear the pleasantest of weather. In field with new adjustable tread tractor. Found that in turning in a circle the tractor wheels would not spread themselves but did find that the operator could with comparative ease spread the wheels by exerting force thru a lever. That is spreading one wheel at a time. It looks as thó it would be practical to either have a hand or foot lever that the operator could work as the tractor is travelling and so change the tread.
