Friday, November 25, 1938 15° Cold for this time of year. The two Elises busy on the party for tomorrow. Elise has a beautiful new black velvet dress. I expect to wear the cutaway I wore to Kent Swifts wedding 271/2 yrs ago, but no one will look at me much when they can look at Elise. In Field with Tuft in afternoon with our new power lift and his beet cultivator. Seemed to work well together & Tuft is enthusiastic about it. Dinner in evening at the Dining Club given by the Neil Vander Voorts. Present Dr & Mrs Roger Adams, Mr & Mrs Jay [Hunt ?] B.F.Peeks, Boliviers C.H.Whites, Belknaps, W.T.Watermans Mrs Pope, Althea [?] Neil Vander Voorts, & We. Snow in evening.
