Sunday, May 1, 1938 '37 Buick 12566 806 month 1866 year to date A very beautiful day. The foliage is pretty much out and it is as warm as it is pleasant. Elise and I went to church, then brought her mother & Sissy over for dinner. Then we took them for a long ride. Hubers etc. Elises mother is sufferingmuch with a bad foot. She broke some ligaments 3 weeks ago in a fall and it has bothered her a very great deal. The Caldwell Rosboroughs took us to Galesburg to supper.
