Tuesday, January 27, 1931 Warm, too warm for this time of year Clear Directors meeting lasting all day. It was thought we're to discontinue the Stock dividend on common stock. It was felt wiser to do this now when the statement (which is commented on favorably) has just come out and would simply reflect the conservative attitude of Deere & Co. This was the idea of the Lehman Corp. who own 15000 shares of Deere Common. It was also decided to start manufacture in Canada, this on account of the new duty of 25% on implements.
