Wednesday, March 12, 1913 This is to note that Mechling said he was called home and was seen going to dinner with a man resembling a paint salesman. Mechling will bear watching. Had quite a long talk with Todd. He said the chances for renewing contract at end of 5 yrs. was practically an assured thing at as favorable a figure with the chances of more if business continues to develop and profits increase. He also said that I had done much better than anyone had thought for, and that every one was more than satisfied. Went to a dinner at the Hotel given by Mr and Mrs Rufus Walker there were 46 there. Played cards afterwards. Bed 12.15
