Tuesday, June 7, 1938 Reached Dayton at 7. we went out to the [Letterhead:MORAINE PRODUCTS DIVISION GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION DAYTON, OHIO, U.S.A.] where we foung Earl Patch Jim Davis and Pat [Shaly ?]. They showed us everything they had and we asked a lot of questions of the metallurgist and engineers. They are experimenting with powdered iron and exhaust to make castings. Bornstein took full notes. At lunch we met Sherwood Standish manager of G.O.H. foundry and Louis [Poole ?]of [Amstool ?] After lunch we went over both plants. Saw them making dies for new Buick front end We went to the [Seal: Engineers Club Dayton] for lunch This club was given by Kettering& Col. Deeds. Was much impressed with National Cash Register Plant. Its cleanliness and size. The open minded policy of G.M. in telling us everything was remarkable. [Consumers Receipt: prepaid sales tax] [Passenger's Check: Dayton to Detroit, Mich.]
