[Stamp: French postage] Saturday Dec. 24 1949 Bill arrived at 225 this afternoon, and how good it is to have him here. [Drawing: child onJohn Deere Tractor] At 5 the Cades arrived and later 8 of the Mueller family. The presents and beautiful Xmas tree that Elise decorated came first. Brothers tractor was a tremendous success. The light of joy in the little boys eyes was something to remenber for days to come. The store we made 29 years ago Elise and I made refurbished. To see Lee in a little chair in front of the store was a joy too. Elise made a rag doll large enough to take Lee's 2 yr old dresses. Later a fine supper. The kiddies spent the night with us.
