Sunday, May 19, 1940 GERMANS DRIVE FOR CHANNEL DROP BOMBS IN PARIS REGION Tribune Heading today Elise and I did not go to church but worked in yard. For supper we went to the Stones. The Aylishius, Klines, Connelley & Sam Plummers there too. We heard Churchills radio address this afternoon. He told of the desperate situation and that now the time had come to take the offensive. The news is so discouraging it makes me feel very nervous & fidgety.
