Public DepositedSUNDAY DEC. 15 1948 Elise and I arrived in Chicago at 8 this morning after a very comfortable trip and left for Moline at 11-. Lee Bill and the kiddies met us at the station. It is indeed pleasant to have our family on hand. Coddington said he had heard from Bob who had seen Hans Sack's sister. Hans Sack is still in jail and not allowed to see his wife, and no one knows what will happen; whether he will be freed, or sent to Russia, or to a concentration camp. Bob will arrange for tickets to Western Zone if Hans can get to Berlin. We are asking Bob Coddington if he can find out where CARE packages can get through to Mrs Sack for we want to help her if we can.
