Sunday, September 26, 1937 Clear Elise Lee Bill & I left Pricetonat 9 this morning stopping at the Bakers and Cutris's then to New Haven 127 miles arriving at the Simonds Deep road Drive Hampden at 1. Mrs Simonds was most hospitable. Bruce was away on a concert trip. Later she piloted us to Yale where Bill got the Key to his room and late at 120 Welch found both Jim Dailey his roommate and his trunk awaiting him. Elise got Bill all settled in his room. Then we all had dinner together and later a movie. We stayed over night at the Taft [Letterhead: Taft Hotel New Haven Connecticut]
