Wednesday, June 16, 1937 Rain Elise and I went to Galesburg thismorning to the installation of Carter Davidson at President of Knox. and graduation Dr Donald J. Cowling president of Carleton College gave a splendid address. He feels that the small colleges are the onew free from politics and can give the best chance to save the country from the Rich. At Shop in P.M. We went to Davenport to see Elise's uncle Alec. Lange. Elise's mother had the family 13 at the Outing Club for supper. [Newspaper clipping: OlMain,Knox College Rededication]
