Sunday, May 8, 1938 ~MOTHER'S DAY~ Lee called us on the phone from Northhampton and it was good to hear her voice. Lee said she might have a job next year in Littleton N.H. Elise and I went to church, were alone for dinner and in afternoon went to Davenport to see Elise's mother Elise gave her two pairs of gloves which seemed to please her mother very much. Elise Jr & Bill both wrote fine letters to their mother.
