Public DepositedFRIDAY JANUARY 31 1947 Maynard Coe and Mayner Wayne Worthington both phoned me this afternoon about their trip to Madison Wisconsin last Wednesday. It seems that Harry Dooley and Jodge Dizotell Made a demonstration of the Dooley Safety device before both the members of the Wisconsin house and senate agricultural committees about 18 men. Maynard Coe and Hamilton of the Farm Division of the National Safety Council with Wayne Worthington were present. Then our film (movie) was shown to the committees & Dooley & Dizotell, Russell Swanson was there too. Coe said Worthington made a fine presentation and all the committee were much much impressed with the movie and said they were convinced that no bill should be passed by the Wisconsin Legislature to make the adoption of this device compulsory as no only is legislation the wrong way to promote safety but the device itself is not safe as it does not work in transport as the tractor will not stop soon enough. In afternoon took a sketch of shields for power shaft to the Harvester Works. Bill Coultas & Art Young promised to make one next week.
