Saturday, December 18, 1937 Cloudy The Christmas hike of the Black hawk hiking club this afteroon. A crust on the snow made walking noisy ad some what difficult. The trees have been covered with ice all week. On the hike were about 50. Lillian Vetter fell thru the ice on the Mississippi river but was pulled out rather quickly. A Christmstree ad services at the "House in the Woods".
