Saturday, April 30, 1938 105 on the Blackhawk hike this afternoon. It was a beautiful walk along the Edwards river country 2 miles this side of Aledo. We took Mrs Ramsey with us. The foliage is so peak and lovely. In Talking with Charley Wiman he did not mention going to California and did say that Paradise said reports from new #4 combine in California were encouraging; and that Mike Healey had promised to go out to see if the combine was OK. This is a relief to me. 487 34 Buick.
