Public Deposited

Sunday, January 25, 1931 CLear/Cloudy Wrote Mrs Merriman, Mrs Adams & cousin [Lillian West?] Telephoned Ralph Earle, Earle Brown, Roy, Ethel and Aunt Sarah and the Searles. Spent the morning at the farm with Phil. Dave McLeary and his brother there. The idea was to get McLearys brother to rent the farm. He finally agreed to for $10000 per month & will start tomorrow. He is to buy the cows at the appraised value. Mothers desk and her bed room complete is to be left. If her room is used then all the furniture will be put in one of the other bed rooms. The personal pictures will be taken down. It seems as tho' this would be a wise solution at least for the time being. Phil & I spent an hour with uncle Ed & Aunt Hattie just before noon. They both seemed pretty well. Evarts Jr left at 110 for Haverford. I went to Percy's for dinner and went from there to the train at 425. This has been a very busy three days and hard in seeing the farm in other hands. [Passenger's check: Worcester to Chicago, Ill]
