Public DepositedWEDNESDAY SEPT. 21 1949 Mrs Kristoff here this morning. we waxed all floors in hall, kitchen, dining & living rooms with Butchers Wax. Elise and I were invited to Paul Morgans for lunch. Reginald and [Doveas?] Washburn were there too. Paul has a very beautiful house and took us all over the house. [Signature: Paul B. Morgan] A wonderfully clear cool day. We called on Kate and later on Nellie Curtis. [Postage Stamps: from Kate] A mother sent her young son to the drygood store for a dozen diapers. They came to $360 so the clerk said "the diapers are $360 and the tax 10¢" at which the boy said "my mother wants the diapers but I don't think she wants the tacks, she uses safety pins."
