[Headline] Tribune Reds Attack Nazis in Waves Mother wrote she would very much like for me to buy an ironer here from Sears as she could not get one in Worcester. Bought the $79.95 one -- chair 3.00 and freight 4.00 to Worcester. Total $87.35 Mother sent a check for me to fill out. Oct 1 10% tax is added. So we are lucky. _________________________________________ Letter from Bill Wednesday night Dear Mother & Dad, It was so nice to hear Mother's voice! I am glad I could call to relieve you of any unnecessary worry - your telegram has not yet come but no matter! I moved over at two this afternoon. The boys seem very nice, as do the sargeants. The who Battalion is called "Headquarters" Br. and my company C is called the Intelligence Section -- which is only a name. But the whole set-up is a pleasant one (as I see it) and is quite bearable. I'll write more about it when I know more. I will also write to the Ramseys to thank them for all their trouble, but I had better wait to do this until I have met the Stickneys. The sewing kit has come and is a beauty. So far I have had no occasion to use one but I see that day coming! [newspaper articles] Dispatch
