Friday, December 23, 1938 Dinner at the Howard Rogers 12 there. Dorothy Ainsworth, Getz, Allens, Stones, & we Later we went to a dance at the LeClaire Hotel given by the Goods and Marion Hosford. It was a very fine party. The supper was very elaborate and a space made in the kitchen where turkey lobster etc were spread out. A wonderful orchestra from Chicago. Elise had a most becoming black velvet dress, her hair done up on top of her head. Long white kid gloves. She was very handsome as was Lee in a wine colored velvet. Bill in tails. Very proud of my family. Gave Miss Bradford a Webster Dictionary [11th ?] note from Amy written Dec 9- [Note: typed ; David and Lieselotte marriage plans]
