Next Generation Waveform Generation And Commercial Spectrum Utilization
Public DepositedDownloadable Content
open in viewerNew evolutions in wireless prototyping technology have resulted in new opportunities and capabilities for experimentation. This thesis investigates how radar waveforms are designed and propose a test-bed with both fully virtual, and hardware implementations that allow new waveforms to be tested and generated. Additionally, this thesis studies the current state of spectral efficiency and proposes a method to measure unused spectrum using off-the-shelf software defined radios (SDRs) to create a multi node sensor network. This thesis lays the groundwork for future novel work and generates large data sets to be used for future research.
